The application and blueprint materials

Application material means the first-party HTML, JavaScript, CSS, artwork (including the logo, icons and social card), interface text, page copy and layout of Automation Modeler, to the extent protected by law. It excludes Blueprint materials, users' content and separately licensed third-party material.

Blueprint materials means our published JSON schemas, example blueprint and template data, file-format documentation, product and workflow documentation, and AI workflow guidance identified in the licence map. The application code that generates or processes these materials is Application material. A documentation licence covers its text, not the page implementation, layout or artwork.

Use the hosted app freely

You may use Automation Modeler at automationmodeler.com for personal projects, education, business, commercial implementation work and paid consulting or client workshops. No account is required. Your browser may load, run and cache the application files needed for normal use.

Keep using and sharing your designs

You retain your rights in your own notes, blueprint content and exports. We do not claim ownership of your designs. You may edit, share, publish and commercially use them, including building the systems they describe and sharing them with your team, clients or an AI tool you choose.

You may adapt the included blueprint examples and templates and share the resulting designs. You do not need our permission or product attribution in your own blueprint exports. Existing rights in any third-party material you include still apply.

Create compatible files and AI workflows

You may use, copy and adapt Blueprint materials to create, read, edit, validate, exchange and implement designs, including in commercial compatible tools and AI-assisted workflows.

• Our published JSON schemas, example blueprint and template data, and the default guidance text included in blueprints are dedicated under CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0-1.0). No attribution is required for those materials.
• The documentation text and AI guide identified in the licence map are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0). When sharing that text or an adaptation, give appropriate credit, link to the licence and indicate changes, as the licence requires. Merely following the guidance does not require attribution in your own work.

The licence map and full licence texts identify the covered files and attribution details. These grants are irrevocable for versions published under them, subject to the applicable licence terms. They do not place your own blueprint content under a licence or grant rights in Application material.

Recommend it and help people find it

Links, reviews, tutorials, screenshots, short demonstrations and attributed excerpts explaining or promoting the tool are welcome. Cropping and annotation are allowed if they are not misleading. Keep product attribution where practical and do not imply that we endorse your product or service.

Search engines and AI services may crawl and index the public pages, summarize what the tool does, recommend it and direct people to it. They may help users work with their blueprints under the permissions above.

These permissions and restrictions apply equally to work performed by a person or by an AI agent acting on their behalf. AI assistance does not expand or reduce the permissions granted by these terms, a separate licence or applicable law.

Ask before copying or republishing the app

Unless these terms, a separate licence or applicable law permit it, you need the rights holder's prior written permission to:

• Copy or redistribute the first-party application source or compiled code beyond what normal browser use requires.
• Host a copy or modified copy, white-label the app, or sell or distribute it as your own product.
• Reuse protected Application material in another product.
• Translate, port or adapt protected application code into another language or framework, including through AI-assisted rewriting.

Reading the source to understand the application is allowed. Source access does not grant permission to reproduce or adapt its protected expression. Independently implementing its ideas or functionality remains allowed, including from the running product and its documentation.

Free access, source-code access or permission to index the site does not by itself grant permission to republish the application. Removing or changing the name, logo or copyright notice does not grant permission to copy or republish the remaining protected Application material. These terms communicate permissions; they do not claim to technically prevent copying.

Additional permission must be expressly granted in writing by the rights holder or an authorized representative. Silence is not consent.

Describe compatibility clearly

You may state that your tool reads or writes Automation Modeler blueprint files. Do not use the Automation Modeler name, logo, favicon or domain to name or present your product in a way that could be confused with ours or suggests we endorse it. Truthful references, reviews, tutorials and screenshots remain welcome under the permissions above.

Respect existing licences and legal rights

Third-party software, fonts and assets retain their own copyrights and licences. Those licences take precedence for that material; our application restrictions do not replace them. Read the bundled third-party licences and attributions and source information.

These terms do not restrict independently developed ideas, general functionality or material that is not protected by law. They do not override mandatory legal rights, including applicable rights to necessary backups, observation, study, testing and interoperability.

Governing law and disputes

Dutch law governs these terms. Disputes relating to these terms may be brought before the competent court in the district of Amsterdam. This does not take away protections or rights to bring or defend proceedings elsewhere that mandatory consumer law gives you.

Which terms apply

This page governs our usage summaries in robots.txt, llms.txt, license.txt and notices inside first-party files. Separately identified licences govern their respective materials. Changes to these terms do not withdraw rights already granted under an applicable irrevocable licence. These summaries welcome search and AI discovery; they do not add a crawler restriction.

Dated versions remain available: 15 September 2026 and 13 September 2026.

Review designs before implementing them

The tool and its example designs are provided as available, without a promise of fitness for a particular workload. You remain responsible for reviewing your designs, protecting information you share and validating any implementation. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
